Without our dedicated volunteers, the Pleasant Mount Historical Society would not be able to fulfill our mission and share the history of our area with the public. Not everyone has to participate in every aspect of the society. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities to meet a variety of talents and interests.

In addition to attending monthly meetings, we need volunteers to assist with:

Little Niagara Falls and Fowlers Mill, Niagara, Pennsylvania
  • research
  • donations of historical items
  • data entry
  • scanning and photographing historic items
  • cataloging items and collections
  • welcoming visitors
  • conducting general historical and genealogical research
  • maintenance and grounds work

We also need volunteers to assist in planning and carrying out programs and events, which might include tasks such as:

  • decorating
  • stuffing envelopes
  • fundraising
  • marketing
  • baking
  • graphic design

Most volunteer jobs will take place at the Pleasant Mt. Historical Society's Museum, 410 Great Bend Turnpike, Pleasant Mount, PA, but some projects may be done at home. Monthly, seasonal or occasional commitments will be considered. High school and college student internships are also available. For more information, please contact us at
